About
Built so the tooldisappears.

SlopMotion exists for the moment a drop lands and the room becomes one thing. Everything we make protects that moment from friction.

SlopMotion started side-of-stage, not in a boardroom.

We were the performers with a laptop full of node graphs and an hour of feeling to deliver. Weeks of prep for one set. A crash two tracks in. A crowd that never knew what they missed — and a tool that never knew the crowd was there.

So we built the instrument we wished we'd had: browser-based, audio-reactive, alive in real time. No installation. No learning cliff. Open a tab, load a feeling, and let the music drive.

Today SlopMotion is a small team of performers, engineers, and shader artists — and a community of hundreds of creators publishing, remixing, and open-sourcing stage-ready work. The tool keeps disappearing. The emotion keeps staying.

What we believe.What we refuse.

Six convictions about live visuals — and none of them up for negotiation.

01

The music comes first

Visuals don't decorate a set — they translate it. When sound and image move as one, the crowd feels it before they can name it. That order, music then image, is built into everything SlopMotion does.

02

Friction kills feeling

Every node graph, install wizard, and render queue is a toll charged against emotion. We don't add power by adding complexity. We add it by removing everything that stands between intuition and image.

03

Live means alive

A pre-rendered loop can't hear the room. Real-time synthesis breathes with the music — imperfect, unrepeatable, honest. If it could play the same way twice, it isn't live.

04

AI amplifies. It never replaces.

AI's job is to close the distance between what you feel and what the crowd sees — starting points, suggestions, busywork. The vision stays yours. So does the stage.

05

Creators keep the upside

The people making the culture should own its economics. Creators keep 70% of every sale on SlopMotion, and the community library stays open for remixing — by design, not as marketing.

06

The stage belongs to more people

Lowering the learning cliff doesn't lower the art — it widens who gets to make it. If you can feel the music, you can perform. That's not a slogan, it's the spec.

(02)Careers
Build theinstrument.

We're a small, mostly remote team that ships fast and goes to shows. We hire people who've felt a room move — or who want to build for the ones who make it happen.

Nothing that fits? Make the case anyway — the best people rarely match a listing. hey@slopmotion.cool

The short version
Less tool.More truth.

Open a browser tab, load a feeling, and see why performers don't go back to node graphs.
